One year ago, Youngstown, Ohio MC DTown cemented his status in hip hop with “The Northsider EP.” The Ohio native who first rapped with rap duo Da Kreek made an album unlike any other—and fans responded. DTown’s self-released EP embodied a hip hop feel, while teaching the listener everything he knows, while referencing the fire that burns within him, and never backing down from a challenge. In whole, DTown proved he was a top professional in the 2015 Rap game.
In 2016, nothing has changed. At work on his sophomore album, DTown proves that his fearless approach to entertainment is not a one-album theme. In a follow up interview with Lee Boyle of Third Class, DTown talks #DopeSixteens, new music, marriage, provides dating advice, and even touches base on overcoming racial barriers with venue booking.
